Alvarez's poor Atlético debut boosts Arsenal
Reports indicate that Argentine attacker Julián Álvarez, a player for Atlético Madrid, is currently seriously considering a move to Arsenal during the upcoming winter transfer window, after a long period of hesitation during the summer. Arsenal was prepared to pay more than $130 million to sign the player, but Atlético Madrid refused to sell, and Álvarez's desire to transfer to Barcelona, along with the Spanish club's rejection of their offer, prevented the deal from happening. This year, Álvarez has not been able to score with Atlético Madrid and feels dissatisfied with his current situation, especially after being excluded from Barcelona's plans, which increases Arsenal’s chances of signing him in the near future.
