Donis's career in Asia
The Saudi Football Federation has confirmed that Greek coach Georgios Donis, the head coach of the national team, remains in his position and there are no plans to change him, despite reports of a potential agreement with Spanish coach Roberto Martínez to take over the role. This comes after Donis led the team to victory in the 27th Gulf Cup and he is preparing to lead the national team in the upcoming AFC Asian Cup hosted by Saudi Arabia in the coming months. Donis holds a contract until July 2027, and his future will be discussed after the Asian Cup. It is also worth noting that the federation had begun negotiations with other coaching agents, such as Scaloni and Matías Aldao.
