Al-Hilal sanctions Samerville with salary reduction
Al Hilal Saudi Club has decided to deduct half of winger Krisensio Samarville's salary after he was suspended by the Asian Football Confederation for three matches and fined $2,000, following his direct red card during the match against Qatar's Al Gharafa in the AFC Champions League due to misconduct. The club previously imposed a similar penalty on defender Kalidou Koulibaly after his expulsion in the King’s Cup two years ago. Samarville will miss the upcoming matches against Al Sadd and Al Shamal from Qatar, as well as Shabab Al Ahli from the UAE. Meanwhile, the team remains in third place in their group in the Asian tournament with 3 points.
