Premier League updates on Manchester City
Reports have revealed that four Premier League clubs—Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, and Tottenham Hotspur—were informed of Manchester City's verdict in the financial misconduct case before it was officially announced. The league's association had confirmed City’s conviction on 114 of the 115 charges brought against them. As a result, the clubs have begun exploring potential legal actions in 2024 to seek compensation if City is found guilty after their appeal. City maintains its innocence, asserting that it possesses compelling evidence proving its compliance. An independent tribunal is expected to issue its decision before the end of the year, with possible sanctions including fines, transfer bans, point deductions, or even stripping the club of titles if their appeal is denied.
