Ronaldo Addresses Jesus's Crisis
Cristiano Ronaldo revealed in his official statement details of the crisis with Portugal's head coach, Jorge Jesus, which led to his departure from the camp before the Denmark match. He explained that the disagreement was rooted in differences over the game plan and the coach's substitutions, as he felt neglected and that his promise to play in matches was not fulfilled, despite his desire to continue playing and leading the team. Ronaldo indicated that he tried to communicate with the coach, but he felt their relationship had ended, prompting him to leave the camp to protect his dignity and clarify his position. Ronaldo’s statements come after his relationship with the coach had deteriorated, during which he discussed the impact of the management of the crisis on his international career. He confirmed his desire to return to competition with the national team if his physical condition allows and if a suitable opportunity arises; he also apologized to the fans and took responsibility for some of his actions.
