The Saudi Pro League Association has announced its intention to implement a fundamental change in the method of selecting the league president. Instead of requiring at least five years of experience, the new criterion will be based on competence. This modification aims to allow individuals who may lack extensive experience but possess the necessary competence to lead the league, potentially transforming the management of the league in the coming years. Currently, the league is led by Omar Maghrabil, who was appointed approximately three years ago. The association emphasizes the importance of its role in regulating club operations, particularly concerning committees such as the Recruitment Committee.
