Bahrain Ends Coach Talaytich's Contract
The Bahrain Football Association amicably ended the contract of Croatian coach Dragan Talić after the Bahrain national team lost its chance to win the Gulf Cup, following three consecutive defeats in the group stage, notably against Qatar, the UAE, and Yemen. The association had contracted Talić in February 2024, replacing Argentine coach Juan Pizzi, with the goal of improving the team's performance ahead of important upcoming commitments such as the 2027 AFC Asian Cup qualifiers in Saudi Arabia. The technical committee will review the CVs of the coaching candidates to select a new technical staff suitable for the upcoming phase.
