Al-Breekaan and Tamabakti Lead UAE Green Team
The Saudi national football team faces its Emirati counterpart in the final of Gulf Cup 27 at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah, aiming to win the title after a long absence since their last victory in "Gulf 16" in 2004. The Greek coach, Georgios Donis, relies on veteran players like Feras Al Buraikan and Hassan Tambakti, with the possible inclusion of Abdullah Al Hamdan in the front line, in pursuit of Saudi Arabia’s fourth title and the fifth overall. Meanwhile, the UAE seeks to claim its third championship after 2007 and 2013. This matchup is the second most frequent rivalry in the tournament’s history, with Saudi Arabia having a clear edge in previous wins, having secured 10 victories compared to UAE’s 4.
