Portugal coach's message to Ronaldo hints at crisis resolution
Coach Jorge Jesus confirmed that Cristiano Ronaldo can return to the Portuguese national team if he wishes to do so. This comes after his sudden departure from the team's camp last week due to sitting on the bench and not participating in the matches against Norway and Denmark. Jesus explained that the decision is in Ronaldo's hands and that he is free to choose whether to end his international career or not. He emphasized that Ronaldo, who has scored 146 goals in 234 international matches, remains part of the team's plans. The incident was a misunderstanding that can be resolved internally. Portugal continues to lead their European Championship qualifying group and has advanced to the quarter-finals.
