Tebas denies La Liga negligence in Nigeria
Javier Tebas, president of La Liga, confirmed that the European Union did not receive any information from the Spanish government or relevant authorities regarding the Nigerira case before it became publicly known over 44 months ago. This contradicts what El Deber newspaper claimed. Tebas emphasized that after the case came to light on February 15, 2023, he personally sent a letter to UEFA within six days, including a legal report and relevant documents. He clarified that La Liga did not neglect to participate in the case, and the documents provided prove the actual timeline of events, refuting allegations of delay or negligence on the part of the league.
