Barcelona Observes His Missed Chance During Break
Barcelona's club conclusions have emerged regarding their decision not to sign Italian center-back Alessandro Bastoni, despite significant interest in him during the summer transfer market. He was seen as a missed opportunity due to his high potential and his compatibility with coach Hans Flick's style. On the other hand, Inter Milan, considered to have him as a key part of their project, preferred not to negotiate unless offered around 80 million euros, effectively closing the door on any potential deal. Bastoni has displayed impressive performances early in the season as a top-tier defender, leading the defensive line and enhancing his goal-scoring abilities, having scored two goals for the Italian national team this season, despite scoring not being his usual attribute.
