Ireland coach predicts resilience after Israel match
Ireland national team coach Hiemir Halgrímsón affirmed that the team will overcome the crisis surrounding the matches against Israel, which were marked by widespread protests and political criticism due to the country's stance on the Gaza war. Despite the tense atmosphere, he indicated that the team will emerge from the international break stronger, with a focus on football performance being the top priority. The matches were held behind closed doors in Sperbia due to opposition. The goalkeeper Gavin Bazuno will be absent from the next game for refusing to join, along with the team captain who is unavailable due to the birth of his child. Additionally, federations are continuing investigations into claims of racist insults during a previous match. The team spirit and resilience in the face of pressure are considered among the most important outcomes of this crisis, with hopes of delivering a good performance despite the political challenges.
