Has Jesus ended Ronaldo's Al Nassr stint
The article discusses the decision of Portugal's coach, Jorge Jesus, to exclude Cristiano Ronaldo from the starting lineup in the national team's match against Denmark. It highlights that the star player's name and fame do not guarantee his continued participation at the expense of tactical decisions. This move demonstrates that the coach can choose to keep Ronaldo on the bench if he deems it appropriate, challenging the psychological barriers that previously surrounded the star's standing. It also reflects a change in tactical policies, especially as Ronaldo continues to deliver unexpectedly strong performances with Al Nassr and considering his hefty contract with the team. The decision might open the door for Al Nassr's coaches to make similar choices regarding Ronaldo. However, any such changes could potentially lead to disputes or crises, particularly since terminating his contract would involve complex financial considerations. Given his salary, which amounts to nearly 200 million euros annually, risking a legal or financial conflict could be significant.
