Zidane Debuts New Squad with Injuries
French national team coach Zinedine Zidane announced his initial 23-player squad for upcoming matches, featuring five new faces. Some key players, such as Aurélien Tchouaméni, Marcus Thuram, and Theo Hernandez, were absent due to injury. The list included new additions in goalkeeping and defensive positions, while some players who participated in the recent World Cup were left out. Star players like Kylian Mbappé continue to lead the team and retain the captaincy. France will begin its UEFA Nations League campaign in September and October with matches against Turkey and Belgium, focusing on strengthening and refining the squad following recent changes.
