UEFA and CONCACAF oppose Infantino over $2.11B fund

UEFA and CONCACAF unions have requested FIFA President Gianni Infantino to allocate $10 million from FIFA's reserves to each federation, amounting to a total of approximately $2.11 billion. The funds are intended to be directed towards the development of football and infrastructure during the 2027-2030 financial cycle. This request comes in response to FIFA's attempt to launch a new investment project for managing commercial rights, which was canceled after widespread rejection from the federations. Meanwhile, Infantino is preparing to run for a fourth term amid calls for disclosures regarding the cancellation of the suspension of an American forward during the World Cup.
