Gaza Players' Photos Protest in Scotland
Activists organized a protest in front of Celtic Park in Glasgow, Scotland, calling for Ireland's national team not to play their two scheduled matches against Israel in the UEFA Nations League, in protest against Israel's participation. The protesters held up images of martyrs from Gaza and bloodstained bells as part of the "Stop the Match" campaign, which demands canceling the two games amid pressure on the Irish Football Association and the players ahead of the upcoming international camp. Ireland is scheduled to face Israel in matches on September 27 and October 4, amidst international controversy over Israel's involvement.
