England squad: Tuchel reintegrates Pope and Arnold, omits Foden
Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold and Chelsea winger Cole Palmer have returned to the England national team for the first time since June 2025, after being excluded by German coach Thomas Tuchel from the recent World Cup finals. The squad also includes 27 players for an upcoming three-week Nations League camp, which will feature four matches, following nine weeks after England secured the bronze medal at the World Cup. Two new players have been called up: teenager Ryo Ngomoh and midfielder Alex Scott, while Phil Foden and Adam Wootton were left out of the squad. The selection focuses on strengthening defensive and offensive options, with the return of players like Louis Hall, Miles Lewis-Skeli, and Dominic Calvert-Lewin, while other names were omitted for technical reasons.
