Barcelona chooses Hamza Abdul Karim over Real Madrid's new striker
Barcelona FC rejected signing the Spanish forward Carlos Espe during the last summer transfer market, preferring to continue developing young Egyptian striker Hamza Abdel Karim. Espe later transferred to Real Madrid with a contract until June 2031 and achieved noticeable success, scoring two goals that secured victories for the team at the start of the season. Meanwhile, Barcelona believes that Hamza has the potential to serve as the team's emerging striker. He was initially signed on loan, then purchased outright for less than 2 million euros, with the goal of nurturing his talent rather than spending 25 million euros on another player unlikely to be a regular starter.
