Israeli official: Jets near Iran are routine

Al J12 reported, citing an Israeli official, that the approach of Israeli fighter jets toward Iranian airspace is a routine procedure in line with training exercises, not an exceptional act. The officials indicated that, with increased alert levels, there is no justification for launching an attack on Iran before the US elections, unless Iranian preparations for firing at Israel are observed. Reports showed that dozens of fighter jets flew alongside refueling aircraft over Syria and Iraq toward the Iranian border before returning to Israel without entering Iranian territory. This is believed to be in anticipation of US and Israeli military preparations for the possible resumption of operations against Iranian targets after the US midterm elections.
