Trump warns of chaos and urges border closures
U.S. President Donald Trump warned of a deteriorating situation in France due to widespread protests and violence affecting several cities, stemming from the rising cost of living. He criticized the immigration policies, stating that they have caused significant damage, and called on French authorities to close their borders and fully restore security control before the crisis worsens. These remarks come amid ongoing protests that have led to the detention of more than 1,800 people, injury to hundreds, and damage to numerous shops and public institutions in Paris and other cities.
