Trump Denies Live Broadcast of Hassan's Execution

U.S. President Donald Trump announced the cancellation of the live televised broadcast of Nidal Hassan's execution procedure, confirming that the sentence will be carried out by firing squad at Fort Hood base in Texas on December 3rd. This follows his conviction for the attack that resulted in the deaths of 13 people in 2009. This marks the first time the U.S. military has carried out an execution since 1961, and the first by firing squad since 1945.
