Army intercepts two major drug smuggling efforts
The Jordanian army and security forces successfully thwarted an attempt to smuggle a large quantity of drugs using guided balloons, after detecting them as they tried to cross from Syria into Jordanian territory. The balloons were intercepted and brought down within Jordanian borders, and the narcotic substances were seized and handed over to the relevant authorities for necessary legal action. These operations affirm the readiness of Jordanian forces to confront smuggling and infiltration attempts, in order to safeguard the nation's security and stability.
