US Embassy in Riyadh raises alert to Level 3
The U.S. Embassy in Riyadh has issued a Level Three alert to American citizens regarding travel to Saudi Arabia, citing an escalation in the conflict between the Saudi-led coalition supporting legitimacy and the Houthis. There is an increasing risk of American interests being targeted by drones and missiles by Iran and the Houthis. Both sides have exchanged threats to target vital facilities in Saudi Arabia and Yemen, with the Houthis calling for the evacuation of certain areas in anticipation of possible attacks on targets such as Aramco in Dammam and Riyadh Airport. This situation heightens the risks of armed conflict and terrorism in the region.
