Transport introduces new vehicle inspection reporting system
The Public Security Directorate organized a winter campaign to ensure vehicle readiness as winter approaches, during which approximately 100,000 vehicles were inspected over two days. The campaign focuses on checking the technical safety of vehicles, providing vehicle owners with notifications to address any issues within a week, and utilizing a text message system to communicate the results instead of stickers. The main goal is to enhance public safety and reduce accidents by ensuring vehicles are technically prepared, without escalating violations, while field patrols continue to regulate traffic and handle vehicle breakdowns.
