Winter campaign inspects 45,000 vehicles
The Traffic Department of the Public Security Directorate announced that 45,000 vehicles underwent technical inspections during the first day of the national vehicle inspection campaign. The campaign was launched to ensure vehicle roadworthiness during the winter season and to reduce traffic accidents. The focus of the campaign is to verify the safety of key vehicle parts, such as tires, lighting, glass, windshields, and wipers, in addition to heating systems in public transport vehicles. If a technical flaw is identified that affects safety, the vehicle owner is issued a notice without a fine, giving them one week to correct the issue. This initiative aims to enhance safety and security on the roads during winter.
