Heavy thunderstorms and flood warnings in Jordan's south and east
The unstable atmospheric conditions continue in Jordan, with expected bouts of rain of varying intensity, which may be heavy locally and accompanied by lightning and thunder. Warnings have been issued about potential floods, especially in the southern and eastern regions during the weekend. The rain increases the likelihood of flash floods and flooding in valleys and low-lying areas, emphasizing the need for caution while traveling and to stay away from floodwaters. Unsettled weather is also expected to persist on Sunday, with rain spreading further and flood alerts being intensified, particularly in areas experiencing heavy rainfall over short periods.
