Weather Alert: Ongoing Rain and Flood Risks
The Meteorological Department predicts that the unsettled weather will continue across the Kingdom over the next three days, with scattered showers that may be heavy for brief periods, accompanied by lightning, thunder, and hail. This increases the likelihood of flooding in valleys and low-lying areas, especially in the south and east of the country. Forecasts indicate that the situation will intensify starting Sunday, with a higher chance of heavy rains, thunderstorms, and flooding, along with gusty southeastern winds carrying dust. The department also urges caution during thunderstorms, attention to the risks of reduced visibility and drowning, particularly in open areas, and recommends staying updated with continuous weather alerts.
