Pakistan confirms defensive deployment to Saudi Arabia
Pakistan confirmed that its deployed forces in Saudi Arabia are solely carrying out defensive duties, amid the escalating conflict with the Iran-backed Houthi militants. The spokesperson for the Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs clarified that the troops remain within Saudi territory, defending it without crossing the border to attack the Houthis. This comes as part of the mutual defense agreement signed in August between Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan, aimed at enhancing military cooperation and improving the readiness of the three nations to confront security threats, amidst increasing attacks on Saudi Arabia.
