Fly Dubai pilot admits opening cockpit door during attack
An Indian pilot was attacked during a Fly Dubai flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv, when he opened the cockpit door during the assault. The pilot was seriously injured after being stabbed. It is estimated that the flight was carrying around 100 passengers, including Israelis and nationals from other countries. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu praised the pilot’s courage, noting that his actions prevented a aviation disaster. He also pointed out that the incident does not qualify as a hijacking, and that the plane changed course to Saudi Arabia based on emergency signals.
