Syria Gas Pipeline Blast Strikes Power Plants
The Syrian News Agency reported that three power plants in Syria went offline following an explosion on the gas pipeline at Tishreen station, which led to a halt in the gas supplies necessary to operate these plants. The incident caused a global decrease in power production and an increase in load-shedding hours. The Syrian Electricity Company indicated that the fire is still ongoing and that specialized teams are handling the situation, with updates on the electrical supply conditions expected to be issued.
