Parliament: Social Security Reform Change
The Jordanian House of Representatives will discuss, during its third regular session starting November 2nd, the Social Security Law and the General Budget. The Deputy Speaker of the House confirmed that the Social Security Law will not be presented in its previous form, due to extensive discussions at both the national and societal levels, while ensuring the protection of subscribers' rights and the continuity of the national institution. The budget draft will also be discussed in the Finance Committee and approved later, with a focus on meeting citizens' needs amid challenging economic conditions. The council is moving toward full representation and has approved amendments that strengthen democratic work within its members.
