Gaza resumes in-person classes after 3 years
The new academic year has been officially launched in Gaza Strip after a three-year interruption caused by the Israeli war in 2023. The Ministry of Education and Higher Education clarified that the start came after completing preparations and assessing the educational situation, taking into account technical conditions and weather circumstances. The educational process will continue through both in-person and virtual methods to ensure the continuity of learning. The expansion of schools, provision of temporary learning points, and digital communication— including connecting schools to internet services and equipping them with solar energy systems— are key efforts to ensure the resumption of education for more than half a million students.
