Municipal Employee Training Program Launches
The Ministry of Local Administration, in collaboration with the Jordanian Academy for Administrative Development, has launched a program aimed at training and qualifying over 2,000 municipal employees. This initiative seeks to enhance government performance and develop the capacities of municipal staff, particularly in urban planning, finance, tenders, and projects. The program's goal is to increase the efficiency of municipalities, which provide approximately 70% of direct services to citizens. It includes the implementation of specialized training programs at 16 different locations across the kingdom. Additionally, it focuses on strengthening the roles of neighborhood committees and reducing municipal debts. This initiative is part of broad administrative reforms aimed at improving service quality and promoting local governance.
