Smart cameras for shipment monitoring
The Ministry of Public Works and Housing is implementing artificial intelligence technologies by installing fixed and mobile cameras to monitor shipping violations on roads, with the aim of protecting infrastructure and ensuring traffic safety. The measures include monitoring illegal loads, preventing the passage of banned tankers on certain roads such as Rass Al-Nakeb, as well as detecting oil spills and violations on the roads. This system helps reduce road damage and improves maintenance efficiency. It is connected to operations rooms to monitor violations and take the necessary legal actions, supporting the development of the road network and enhancing safety and efficiency in the transportation sector.
