Jordan Implements New Cameras for Violation Monitoring
The article highlights the efforts of the Ministry of Public Works and Housing in Jordan to upgrade road monitoring by operating cameras equipped with artificial intelligence technologies. These cameras aim to detect violations such as illegal load lifting, violations related to transporting prohibited materials like oil, as well as spills and encroachments on the roads. The system uses both fixed and mobile cameras connected to control rooms to monitor violations and take the necessary legal actions, with the goal of maintaining the road network, improving safety, and reducing maintenance costs. This step is part of efforts to develop infrastructure and enhance smart surveillance efficiency to ensure road sustainability, minimize risks, and promote public safety on the roads.
