Soldados salvadoreños desaparecen en Haití
Four Salvadoran soldiers deployed in Haiti were ambushed and captured by members of the criminal organization Viv Ansanm. The incident occurred while they were returning to their camp in Croix-des-Bouquets near Port-au-Prince, and efforts to rescue them have involved helicopters that were also targeted. The soldiers were part of the multinational force supporting Haitian security efforts, which El Salvador has contributed to since late 2024.
