Gloucester Defeats Bordeaux in Champions Cup Opener
Gloucester and Bordeaux Bègles played to a 36-36 draw in their Champions Cup opener, with Gloucester's Will Trenholm making a significant impact off the bench. Bordeaux, the reigning champions, initially took the lead with scores from Martin Page-Relo and other tries, but Gloucester fought back, aided by two quick tries from Trenholm. Despite Bordeaux's efforts to regain control in the second half, Gloucester's strong defense and offensive pressure kept the match evenly contested.
