Katie Zacharia dismissed after five days
Katie Zacharia was fired as White House press secretary five days after starting the role, following a poorly received first briefing and scrutiny over her legal credentials, including admitting she did not pass the bar exam. The White House has not officially commented, but reports indicate she is “transitioning out” of the position. Zacharia had previously worked as a conservative political commentator and in communication roles.
