Exeter secures first win after Wade’s hat-trick
Exeter secured their first win of the season with a 34-28 victory over Newcastle, despite Christian Wade scoring a hat-trick and becoming the second player to reach 100 top-tier tries. The match included five tries in the first quarter and was highlighted by late scores from Exeter's Bachuki Tchumbadze and Ross Vintcent. Attendance was low, reflecting waning interest and economic factors affecting spectator numbers, with only 7,071 fans present.
