Counting begins in Holborn and St Pancras election
The Green Party has conceded defeat in the Holborn and St Pancras byelection, finishing in second place behind Labour. The result follows internal turmoil over the party's recent adoption of a motion declaring Zionism as a form of racism, which has drawn criticism and reportedly impacted voter support. Labour's candidate won with over 12,000 votes, while Green candidate Zack Polanski received approximately 8,900 votes; turnout was notably low.
