Judge mandates preserving Christa Pike evidence
Christa Pike survived a botched execution after being injected with lethal doses of pentobarbital, and she remains hospitalized in critical condition, shackled to her bed. Her lawyers reported she woke up confused and angry, asking where she was and about her team and the victim’s family. A court ordered Tennessee officials to preserve evidence related to the failed attempt, amid concerns over potential legal challenges and the possibility of her facing future executions.
