Green Party Approves Anti-Zionism Policy
The Green Party voted to adopt a policy that equates Zionism with racism and calls for replacing Israel with a single Palestinian state. The motion, supported by a group called Greens for Palestine, passed by 1,022 to 813 votes at the party’s conference, and reinforces the party's stance against Zionism as a form of racism. The decision has sparked criticism from some party members and Jewish groups, who argue it risks promoting antisemitism and alienating Jewish communities, while the party maintains it remains committed to anti-racism, justice, and human rights.
