Trump administration sued over voting site law enforcement
A coalition of civil rights groups, led by the NAACP, filed a lawsuit to prevent the Trump administration from deploying federal law enforcement to polling stations during the upcoming US midterm elections. The suit claims these threats violate the Voting Rights Act by enabling voter intimidation, especially affecting minority voters. Despite assurances from officials that no armed officers or military will present at polls, concerns remain over mixed messages and potential enforcement actions.
