4,700 Compete at STI Fest
The Ministry of Education and the Advanced Technology Research Council are organizing the eighth National Festival of Science, Technology and Innovation under the patronage of Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed. It will take place from 10 to 13 November 2026 at ADNEC Al Ain. The festival’s three competitions received more than 4,700 applications and entries: 2,651 for the UAE Young Scientist Competition, 707 for the Advanced Technology Pioneers Competition, and 1,402 for the Young Innovators Challenge. A total of 100 research projects advanced to the final of the first competition, while 210 participants were selected for the second, organized into 58 teams. The festival will feature 80 sessions and workshops on topics including robotics, programming and renewable energy, alongside science demonstrations and hands-on experiences. It will also launch the “Path 2 A2RL” competition, focused on autonomous driving and artificial intelligence.
