Yellow Vest protests near
The “Yellow Vest” movement is continuing its protests in France today, Friday, calling for roadblocks to be set up. It plans to hold mass demonstrations tomorrow, Saturday, for the fourth week in a row, after hundreds of thousands took part in recent weeks. The movement has broadened from protests against fuel taxes to demands addressing economic inequality. Meanwhile, the government has announced plans to raise the minimum wage and support schools, and to release diesel from the strategic reserve in an effort to lower fuel prices over the next three months.
