Responsibility as Trust
Responsibility is a trust that goes beyond simply carrying out tasks. It requires overseeing the work and its quality, addressing shortcomings, following regulations, and setting a good example—all while protecting people’s interests and rights. A leader’s role also includes supporting employees, recognizing their talents, developing their skills, and encouraging innovation, thereby improving institutional effectiveness and preparing organizations for the demands of the future. The value of a position is measured by what its holder achieves for people and the organization, and by what they put in place to sustain success.
