Turkey provides defense aid to Saudi Arabia
Turkey has reached an agreement with Saudi Arabia to provide defensive and technical support to assist in the fight against the Iran-backed Houthi movement. This support includes the supply of military equipment, intelligence sharing, and weapon systems, with the possibility of increasing aid following the Turkish Parliament's ratification of the Mecca Joint Defense Agreement. To date, the support has focused on defensive capabilities, such as strategic planning assistance and enhancing defensive measures, including drone operators, intelligence, monitoring, and reconnaissance systems.
