North Korea launches Nouri missile and satellites
South Korea successfully launched its domestically made "Nuri" rocket on its fifth mission, placing 15 satellites into orbit, including five small satellites that form Korea's first indigenous satellite constellation. The purpose is to monitor the region for security and disaster management. The launch lasted about 20 minutes and successfully deployed the satellites, each weighing less than 100 kilograms and equipped with advanced cameras to distinguish small objects. The constellation will be completed with the addition of 10 more satellites, enabling monitoring of the Korean Peninsula more than three times a day.
