U.S. New Facilities to Grow Crypto Trading
The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) announced new facilities to expand cryptocurrency trading, by exempting certain software providers from registration requirements as brokers if they collaborate with regulated entities without holding user assets or making trading decisions on their behalf. This guidance aims to enable many trading platforms to offer safer services, following the failure to pass cryptocurrency market legislation in the U.S. Senate, which has prompted regulators to draft new rules for the industry.
