Erdogan plans to seek new presidential term amid early elections
A close advisor to Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stated that the Turkish president intends to run for a new presidential term in early elections that could be held on April 16, 2028, instead of the constitutional date in May 2028, if he secures the support of 360 out of 600 deputies. This would pave the way for him to serve a new term.
